Ottawa, ON, CANADA – December 15, 2004 – Edgewater Computer Systems, Inc, an Ottawa-based company that specializes in the architecture design and engineering of real-time high-performance multiprocessor systems, today announced the release of version 1.0 of the EN-3501, a fully integrated, wideband, multi-channel, direct down conversion 5 GHz RF Transceiver for IEEE 802.11a wireless LAN.

When combined with the EN-3101 Analog Baseband device and the EN-3301 Tri-Channel Digital Baseband and MAC device, the EN3501 completes the solution for an 802.11a compliant, three channel radio that can be integrated in a miniPCI form factor or on the motherboard of a host Access Point.
