Networking Solutions
Edgewater Computer Systems, Inc., has established itself as a leader in wireless and wired, multi-channel networking technology and products for commercial, industrial and military applications.
Xi-Channel™
Edgewater’s Xi-Channel™ technology provides a solution for the rapid and affordable integration of increased data network capacity across a variety of media found in commercial, industrial, military and aerospace systems and subsystems. Xi-Channel is media independent and can be used in both wired and wireless configurations. E1553® is an implementation of Xi-Channel targeted at the Mil-Standard 1553 data bus.
Extended 1553 (E1553®)
Extended 1553 (E1553), endorsed by major military organizations worldwide, provides an affordable approach to modernization and In-Service-Support (ISS) of today’s military platforms, extending the life and relevance of these platforms for decades to come.
Without modification to the existing wiring infrastructure of these platforms, Extended 1553 provides a “two orders of magnitude (100 times)” increase in data bus capacity while operating concurrently with the existing, or legacy data communications residing on these networks. No changes to the existing, or legacy data communications is required to implement an Extended 1553 network subsequently avoiding costly recertification of legacy applications and scheduling software.
Advanced war fighting and conflict resolution capabilities can now be added rapidly, incrementally and affordably - plug-and-play (PnP) on the flight line – to increase the probability of mission success and to improve the safety and security of the operator.
EAP3000™
Based on the first chipset designed to specifically address the needs of the 802.11 infrastructure market, the EAP3000 integrates multiple, concurrent, independent channels on a single radio enabling 10 to 20 times the performance of single channel radios in typical network deployments.
Each radio can support three channels of 802.11 in the 2.4GHz domain and three channels of 802.11 in the 5 GHz domain provide unprecedented “bandwidth density” and coverage. Each radio has the ability to associate up to 162Mbps of aggregate throughput. Multiple radios can be integrated into a single access point enabling upwards of 800Mbps of aggregated association rate.
In parallel, the EAP3000 supports a forth, independent channel providing Spectral Surveillance to identify interference in the frequency band of interest enabling Remote Site Surveying.
