EAP3000 Overview

The Next Generation in WiFi InfrastructureIndoor-1

Features

  • 10 to 20 times the performance of single channel radios
  • Built in Spectral Surveillance
  • Network Optimization through Power Zoning, Load Balancing and Channel Aware Routing
  • Ideal for Mesh Network Applications
  • Indoor and Outdoor Applications

By integrating multiple, independent 802.11 channels into a single radio, Edgewater has developed the first chipset ideally suited for the WiFi indoor and outdoor infrastructure market.  Multiple concurrent channels per radio provides 10 to 20 times the aggregate throughput when compared with single channel radios in a typical 802.11 environment while maintaining compliance to the Standard.

Coupled with Edgewater’s Spectral Surveillance capability, network optimization has never been easier.

Edgewater has developed a family of 802.11 multi-channel Access Points (APs) and miniPCI radios.  Each AP can support up to 6 independent channels.  Each radio can support three (3) channels in either the 802.11bg (2.4GHz) domain or the 802.11 (5GHz) domain.
