Outdoor Access Points     

Ruggedized for outdoor use, Edgewater’s multi-channel access points are uniquely designed for high-performance, high-security applications with built-in security-support capabilities for spectral surveillance. Fully compatible with off-the-shelf 802.11a/b/g equip-ment, Edgewater Access Points typically provides 10 to 20 times the throughput offered by any other existing commercial 802.11 technology.

Optimized for range, the EAP3000 Outdoor product can be configured with a variety of antennas to increase performance or directionality and distance.

The multi- channel access points support multiple service set identifiers (SSID’s) per channel enabling enhanced Quality of Service for voice, data and video; priority communication; and variable classes of 802.11i security on a per SSID basis. Applications such as Load Balancing and Intelligent Channel Association (ICA^TM) allow optimization of network performance.
