EAP3000 Radio Cards
Edgewater’s EN-3000 radio modules are designed in a common, miniPCI form factor for maximum flexibility and integration into 802.11 WiFi Access Points, Routers and Gateways. The EN-3000-BG supports three concurrent, asynchronous communications channels in the 2.4GHz band and the EN-3000-A supports three concurrent, asynchronous communications in the 5GHz band. Each radio supports a maximum aggregate association rate of 162Mbps and comes with Edgewater’s Spectral Surviellance Architecture (SSA™) integrated solution.
802.11bg 2.4GHz Radio
The Edgewater ER-3000-BG-MP is a wide-band, multi-channel, wireless LAN Mini-PCI reference board utilizing the Edgewater EAP-3000 chip set. The EAP-3000 is a wide-band chipset that enables an OEM the ability to construct very high capacity access points that allow simultaneous communications on multiple channels. In addition, the EAP-3000 chipset enables access points with superior WLAN security and management capabilities through WLAN and RF analysis. The EAP-3000 simultaneously supports the IEEE 802.11bg MAC protocols in a highly integrated chip set.
Features
- Simultaneous operation of three 802.11bg channels in any combination
- Programmable 802.11bg data rates: 1, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54 Mbps
- MAC bypass mode for proprietary MAC implementations
- Supports Transmit Power Control with Dynamic Frequency Selection
- Quality of Service (QoS) support, WMM
- Support for 802.11e, f, h and i and WPA
